My name is Ian Smith, and I am a professional hypnotherapist in North Shields near Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland, County Durham, and Gateshead. I am an Internationally respected hypnotist who has been in full-time practice since 2005.

My Interest In Hypnosis Started Very Early In My Life

I first became interested in hypnosis and hypnotherapy at around the age of ten when watching a stage hypnotist perform on television.

I can vividly remember trying to hypnotize my brother with a swinging watch.

Later in life, after leaving the armed forces, I suffered very badly from depression and PTSD. This is where I first started to learn about self-hypnosis.

Self-hypnosis helped me to eliminate all of my anxiety symptoms!

I read many hypnosis books, watched many hypnosis DVDs and put the information and advice to good use. With my limited knowledge at that time, I was astonished to discover how effective self-hypnotherapy could be.

After attending a hypnosis training course in County Durham, I completed the practitioner course obtaining a distinction in clinical hypnotherapy (Distinction D.Hyp).

I then opened up my own business, now the leading hypnotherapy clinic in the Northeast of England.
